These online services are EOA (Exchange Online Archiving), EOP (Exchange Online Protection) and DLP (Data Loss Prevention).
EOA = Exchange Online Archiving: Is a cloud-based, enterprise-class online archiving solution for your Exchange Server 2010 or later on-premises deployment.
EOP = Exchange Online Protection: Is an online email filtering service providing protection for your Exchange Server on-premises deployment. EOP has replaced FOPE (Forefront Online Protection for Exchange).

New Office 365 through FPP and Open
February 2013
Microsoft has announced the expansion of their Office 365 cloud offering by introducing Office 365 Small Business Premium and Office 365 Midsize Business, available respectively through the FPP (Full Packaged Product) and Open program channels.
The expected date for the launch is February 27th, 2013.
Office 365 Small Business Premium includes a 1-year subscription for the Office client, as well as Exchange, SharePoint and Lync services.
It is designed for businesses with 10 or fewer users, and it has a technical limit of 25 users.
Office 365 Midsize Business will include all O365 SBP features, with more advanced IT admin, Active Directory and enhanced phone support. A subscription version of Office Professional Plus is also included in Office 365 Midsize Business.
The target customer for Office 365 Midsize Business is a company with between 25 and 250 users, and the technical limit is set at 300 users.

- Customers on Acrobat 8 will be eligible to upgrade until 31st May 2013.From this date onwards they will need to buy the full version of the product.
- Customers on Acrobat 9 and Acrobat X will be able to continue to purchase upgrade products past this date.

The virtualization market has matured in recent years. Many industry leaders now focus on a multi-vendor approach to virtualization, looking to improve on cost per performance and virtualizing workloads not possible to virtualize before.
Most of the workloads running on top of existing virtualization solutions are Windows based. Many enterprises merely introduced virtualization off their Linux workloads. There is high leverage in now attacking Linux server consolidation.

Office2013 now available via Home Use ProgramSLMS latest Announcement
The Home Use Program is a Software Assurance benefit, available as part of Microsoft’s Volume Licensing programs. Through this offering, you can provide licensed employees access to a copy of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 and other applications for your employees to install and use on a home computer during the term of your Software Assurance coverage.
Which products are available through HUP?

Eligibility
For each Office Application License covered by Software Assurance, the user of the licensed software is entitled to one copy of the corresponding program for use at home. The following Volume Licensing programs are eligible for this benefit:

- - Open Value

How to get started
- Make sure the Home Use Program benefit is activated in VLSC.

- Use the HUP Marketing Portal to create any message to notify employees.
- Provide employees their program code.
- Send them to the HUP store to purchase!
Points to note
Any employee who has previously purchased earlier versions of Office or Mac through HUP is eligible to return to the HUP site and upgrade to Office 2013. Pricing will vary by country.
An employee upgrade does not count as consumption against the account’s HUP Licenses since the system is able to recognize the employee as eligible for an upgrade. During an upgrade, employees are allowed to switch platforms. Eligible employees are allowed to purchase Office or Mac, not both. However, this launch is for OFFICE ONLY so Mac will not be available at the time of the Office 2013 launch. Mac users or those switching platforms will need to wait for the Mac release to update.
